Walters Wheatgerm Sticks are designed to be fed through the autumn, winter and early spring season. With their specifically formulated nutritional profile, our floating wheat germ sticks are perfectly suited for feeding cold water pond fish in both pre and post hibernation / dormant states. Our easy to digest, minimal waste pellets are the ultimate cold water fish food for pre and post hibernation, ensuring healthy fish and clear balanced water. They are our preferred Koi fish food throughout the colder months.
Easily Manage Overfeed for Optimal Pond Health
Since the appetite of your pond fish will vary according to water temperature at this time of year, Walters wheatgerm sticks float, allowing you to monitor and reduce feed accordingly. This allows you to minimise waste from the fish feed which can adversely affect water quality causing increases in ammonia, reduced oxygen levels and even changes in pH levels.
When to Feed
Feed when water temperatures fall between 10-4 degrees centigrade. Koi and cold water pond fish will feed throughout the colder months, however during periods of extreme cold they enter a state of torpor or hibernation. It is important to provide a high quality and adapted food source in the periods before and after hibernation. Walters Wheatgerm sticks have been specifically formulated to provide the ultimate food source for these conditions.

Vitamin A 29000IU/kg Vitamin C 250mg, Vitamin D1500IU, Vitamin E 100mg
Trace Elements: Iodine (Calcium Iodate Anhydrous) 1mg, Copper 5mg, Iron 20mg, Manganese 6mg, Zinc 24.5mg
Composition:
Cereals, Derivatives of Vehetable Origin (Wheatgerm 19%), Vegetable Protein Extracts, Meat and
Animal Deivatives, Oils and Fats, Minerals, Algae (Spirulina 0.05%)
Instructions:
Feed 2-4 times per day depending on fish size and water temperature and no more than the fish eat within
5 minutes. Remove uneaten feed from the pond in case of overfeeding. At water temperature below 10C the
fish have a reduced appetite and slow digestion, therefore feed accordingly.
Do not feed if the water temperature is below 5C.
Store in a cool dry place. Feed according to feeding recommendations.
Not for human consumption. Contains fishmeal and /or fish solubles, processed protein from non-ruminants.
Do not feed to farm animals in aquaculture or fur animals. -
